• From the Los Angeles area, take the I-5 North toward Bakersfield
• Bear Right onto CA-99 North for 26 miles, toward Bakersfield
• Turn right and head East on CA-178 (Exit 26)
• Continue East on CA-178 (a surface street at first)
• Continue on CA-178 through the Kern River Canyon
• After entering the Kern River Valley, take exit 43 (toward Kernville and Wofford Heights) by turning left on CA-155 Northbound
• Proceed on CA-155 for 1 mile across the narrow bridge over the Kern River
• Turn left into the Keyesville Recreation Site (directly across the road from the Main Dam Campground)
  
• Bear right onto Keyesville Road, a single lane paved road (please drive with caution as this is open range territory with cattle grazing along the roadway)

  

• Proceed for 1 mile
• Turn left onto Pearl Harbor Drive (a dirt road)
• Continue for 1.2 miles on Pearl Harbor Drive
• Turn Left into The Lodge at Painted Rock

• Take Hwy 14 past Palmdale & Mojave (42 miles)
• Turn Left onto Hwy 178 towards Lake Isabella 
• Follow the Southern shoreline of Lake Isabella then turn right on CA-155 Northbound
• Proceed on CA-155 for 1 mile across the narrow bridge over the Kern River
• Turn left into the Keyesville Recreation Site (directly across the road from the Main Dam Campground)
• Bear right onto Keyesville Road, a single lane paved road (please drive with caution as this is open range territory with cattle grazing along the roadway)
• Proceed for 1 mile

• Take 14/CA-178 exit
• CA-14 South
• Turn right onto CA- 178(towards Isabella Walker Pass Road)
